Irena Prochazkova was born in Czech Republic in 1973 and currently lives in Prague. Irena was inspired by the great masters of the 20th centrury, and especially by the artistic movements of impressionism, and expressionism. She studied painting for nine years in the studio of the Czech academic painter Bedriska Uzdilova.

Irena currently focuses on using oil on white and black canvas. She likes painting of people, portraits and figural drawing. She also devotes to abstract and “en plein air” paintings. Daily scenes, moments of life, emotions and states of her mind are translated by her into scenes into paintings, through the use of alive colors dominated by blue ultramarine.

She started her professional painting career in 2016, set up her own art studio and this year had her first solo exhibition in Prague. Since 2019 she has exhibited at ArtExpo New York 2019, London START 2019, 2020, Art Prague Fair 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, Carrousel Du Louvre 2021, FIABCN Barcelona 2021, RED DOT Miami 2021, ART CONNECTS WOMEN 2022 in Dubai, Mauritius International Art Fair 2022, then in Austria, Slovakia, Portugal, Italy and France.

Her works are represented by galleries in Prague, Austria, Italy, Spain and Mauritius.
